Readers Info.

Interested Readers of Reviews MUST READ!

Before you read any of my reviews understand what kind of reviewer i am....You see,Rogert Ebert(for example) is a plot man..I however am not....I merely judge by how entertained and sucked into the movie i am....I merely judge the illusion and and entertainment values.....i have always had the mindset that if you want a great plot, then pick up a book....movies are for entertainment of sight and sound, literature is for way more than that.

that is all.

The Love Guru-In Theaters Movie Review

The Love Guru

3 out of 5 stars.

I will start with the bad being the negative person i am....In the least words it was "Austin Powers 4-Indian." Almost 80 percent of the jokes were almost exactly like such ones in the AP series...What new jokes there were ,were hilarious. Mike myers was not surrounded by a great cast either, excluding the side comedians with small parts(examples:Daniel Tosh ,Jim Gaffigan, Stephen Colbert, and more.) Jessica alba remains to be the worst actress with the most roles of all time. She is absolutely horrible and at times she displays emotions that do not fit the scene, mood, or her character. Justin Timberlake also wasn't the best co-star for Mike. I don't know if it was the character he portrayed or his acting that made him completely and utterly funny-less.Despite the bad i find it was well done and recommend it....especially just to listen to indian- renditions of popular american songs.

OLD posts

These are poems are wrote AWHILE ago....i found them both pretty amusing,i hope you do as well.

Sonnet#1

if everything written were pieces of you
id love to read it to get close to the truth
and if you could see the way i am
maybe youd feel bad and understand

i could write about you for nineteen years
and still my point wouldnt reach your ears
i fear that day when you pack and move away
ill go nowhere but here to stay

theres not a letter i can write
nor a poem to recite
to make you love me in any way
so ill tell you now and get it out of the way

carpe diem,no day but to day, these are the thigns we must say
if cretins like us will love this way

Sonnet#2
Everything was warm
and now we are cold
we were young
now we are old

we spoke too much
now we are slient
we were gentle
now we are violent

we were smart
now we are dumb
we use to go
now we come

you take it slow and ill take it fast
let us hope this isnt the past

Neon Bible by Arcade Fire-New Album Review

Neon Bible
Arcade Fire
2008

The very first time i heard this band was when i stumbled upon their song"Neon Bible"(Album named after song.)I was pretty split with them, i enjoyed the sound but the image came across to me as hardcore emo. Which i necessarily don't hate, just isn't my type of music....I bought the album and I love it... Its a nice smooth album full of songs to sleep to, and songs to party to as well.....Great Lyrics,Sound,Vocals....Everything is great...The one band thing i have to say about this band is the lack of creativity, they look as if they slide in with every other emo genre band, but they play completly outside such genres and into indie and straight up rock....needless to say i like and recomend the album.

Fathers day smoshers day.....

Fathers day, is needless to say , not my favorite holiday.I'm not going to argue against it with the cliche commercial holiday bs. No, No,No...........Its the whole idea of the holiday..Lets give ONE day to our fathers to show them our gratitude....Which leaves outsiders of this tradition to believe we don't respect our fathers all the other 364 days of the year.Shouldn't we show our Dads love and thanks everyday?? They don't sacrifice for their children and wife one day of the year? And mothers don't worry all this goes for Mothers day too.
I'm just saying, we should act everyday as it is Mothers and Fathers day...

A Post To Myself....For Tommorow.

Many teachers assign the assignment of writing to the themselves in 5, 10, etc number of years... I am writing to myself to read tomorrow.I feel i am wiser in the night, and my nocturnal wisdom should be spread on a new day me.Here we go.

Dear JLHL,

your an idiot. You are not as smart as you think you are. You are not smarter than everyone you see. There is no need arguing sometimes, some people don't want to argue leaving your flawless and soon to be won argument useless. Don't hate. Do what mom tells you to, the first time. Those little things tend to help alot in the long run.Eat regular meals. Floss. Dance when no one is watching, sing when no one can hear...Sit down and draw a painting of something, not abstract. But try your best to duplicate the object onto paper....you'll be amazed at what you can do....write for at least thirty minutes. And lastly, get off the computer and go outside.
Sincerely Yours,
You

The Happening-In Theaters Movie Review

The Happening

1 stars out of 5.

M. Night Shyamalan brought us such great thrillers as The Sixth Sense,Signs,The Village, and Unbreakable. He also brought us horrible movies such as Lady in the water, and recently added The Happening. The Happening is extremely slow and after twenty minutes you have seen pretty much everything that will happen in the next hour and a half. It repeats itself over and over and over. And the beginning product wasn't that entertaining, so reproduction wasn't necessary. Without a doubt you need to skip this one. I respect Shyamalan, but this film is not on his good list.

The Strangers-In Theaters Movie Review

The Strangers

3.5 stars out of five, and two thumbs up.

The strangers is not as true as makers would make us believe, but it turns out to be a pleasant surprise. It is a usual cheep jumpy thrills kind-of movie.Despite a pretty blank plot this movie does indeed do what it promises, scare you. I found my self extremely anxious and on the edge of my seat throughout. Not the usual slasher film, but not too creative either. Decent film though and definitely the best horror of this year.I recommend this film but i wouldn't run out to see it, there are many other movies in theaters i would still choose over The Strangers.

You Don't Mess With Zohan!-In Theaters Movie Review

You Don't Mess With Zohan!

0 stars out of 5 and three thumbs way down.

Not only does this movie blow more than any movie made and to be made this year(excluding 10,000 b. of course.) It is extremely racist towards Middle-eastern countries to the point where it passes funny three minutes in and becomes outrageously offensive even towards a full blooded American like myself. It is full of not funny at all moments, not even courtesy laughs helped this movie. By the end of the movie about one fourth of the theater had left. DO NOT waste money on such a film...Adam Sandler is usually funny,as is his usual costars...but not in this film.

Zeitgeist-A Internet Movie Review.

On March 15th,an internet movie was shown in 718 public theaters and had over 1100 private showings around the world. All DVD's and downloads were provided for free by the internet website in which created the movie. The movie is entitled Zeitgeist and can be found on Zeitgeistmovie.com.Zeitgeist is a movie which could easily insult every human being if its message is misinterpreted. The movie focuses on three major themes, three major themes of humanity's downfalls,Religion,Government, and Money. If three things were more certain and inevitable then death and taxes, these three themes would follow.Ironically,it seems three of the most insurmountable problems are and will lead to our inevitable doom. The movie explains religion in its most recent commonly known form,Christianity.Necessarily not the greatest opening considering it could lead to every devote Christian to turn the movie off immediately, but let us pretend people aren't that ignorant.Government is explained in th resurfacing of the 911 conspiracy which some people might of heard of.If you haven't, the 911 conspiracy is the theory(surprisingly backed with alot of evidence)that 911 was no result of terroristic hatred, but government and man's thirst for ultimate power. The third and final theme, money, is shown by many of America's money problems including the corruption of the Federal Reserve Bank and the unconstitutional income tax.
I personally am torn with this movie, both impressed with its fear tactics and editing, and doubtful due to the lack of references to any facts mentioned being true.Though, whether you are a Christian,an IRS agent,or a 911 widow, i highly suggest you watch this movie. I'm not saying you will write your congressman after,or feel the need to leave religion, but it will make you think. It will make you think about our species, our "de-evolution", how on every corner lies humanity's flaws. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to know things are bad, simply look around. This movie might help you dig deeper, and look straight into the realms of the heart of humanity, and hopefully realize that we indeed are in trouble, but we can do something about it.Ultimately that is why i think i recommend this movie,it discusses our defects, then our potential to change them.Nothing we have created is truly inevitable, nothing humanity has made will live forever. Our defeats are not defeats yet.I personally have strong feelings against many human deeds and corruptions and deceits and flaws, however i can not help having the uttermost faith that humanity can prevail,if we stop, wake up and realize we need to do something, and soon.
The movie's final message is "the revolution is now" ,this line is also the tagline for the upcoming sequel, "Zeitgeist II:Addendum". It will be released in October 2008 and is focused on the next step, what we need to do. It will discuss how we can address the problems and begin to move forward. No single human can change the world, it is simply impossible. No revolution in the history of humanity has been single handed. Our problems were not created by one person, nor can they be saved by one. Though, we together as a whole, can do something. Humanity has the tools to fix our problems. All we need is to figure out how to use them.
I understand a movie cannot cure the world of poverty or serve as a savior of the damned, though it can plant an idea. An idea that could cure the world of whatever ailment, whatever flaw, whatever blemish, fault, or imperfection. It could inspire the next Muhammad Gandhi or Martin Luther King. Not many movies of this generation supply such inspiration or ideas. Zeitgeist,i believe, has the material to inspire such thought provoking ideas. These sort of ideas are the kind that change the world. The kind that made a young Nelson Mandela wonder why his own government created separation and hatred. These ideas made a juvenile Agnes Bojaxhiu (Mother Teresa to you and me) wonder why no one would reach out to the poor. These are the same ideas in which are constitution was written. This movie has the potential to change the world, but only through its audience.
