PIXAR MOVIES REVIEW

PIXAR MOVIES REVIEW

Pixar movies from the outside apear to be directed for younger viewers, but i can guarantee you they are perfect for any age. They are beautiful and whimsical and have the most interesting of plots. Do not disregard these films in anyway, they are worth watching even for the self claimed sophisticated.

-Toy Story(1995)

This is the first movie ever done by the Pixar crew, and despite being the oldest it is timeless. The visuals are still today stimulating and the dialogue remains fun for the whole family. The voices seem to cast perfectly, and the score music is very fitting...No bads about this movie. Absolutely love it!

-A Bug's Life(1998)

This is the second feature film by Pixar, needless to say it was enthralling. I enjoyed every character and every scene. The personalitys of these characters are amazing as well with all Pixar movies. I came out full but not overfed. Another film from the Pixar team that won't be forgotten.

-Toy Story 2(1999)

I am torn with this film.It exceeds the first TS in visual quality, but storyline I'm not so sure. The past storyline remained lighthearted and fun, this one is fun but can be jumpy and confusing for a younger audience.I don't enjoy the voices as much, obviously i am referring to the new toys. Though it has those flaws it is an exceptional piece to the Pixar library. This is the original Pixar series and will forever be amazing,I can't wait for Toy Story 3, which has said to be released in 2010.

-Finding Nemo(2003)

I had a lot of fun with this one. I found it had beautiful visuals and the characters and voices were beyond perfect. The storyline remains interesting despite seeming recurring. This is arguably one of the most popular of the Pixar movies, and has every right to be. There was a lot of hype for this movie which made me skeptical but i was very impressed and loved it. It is for the whole family and is one to go see twice.

-The Incredibles(2004)

I went into this movie reluctantly, i gave it no hope and was sure it was going to be a flop...And i came out extremely surprised and in love. That's what i love about these kind of movies, they can knock you off your feet and your predictions. Some movies people give no hope and the film never even has a chance. This kind of movie can break through that and surprise all. Very entertaining and original, one of my favorite pixars.

-Cars(2006)

I was surprised a this movie, the advertising and trailers didn't do this movie justice. Within the first twenty minutes i felt already bored of the whole car racing,at that time i thought the entire movie was around that. I was wrong. The movie jumped into a plot i didn't expect, but i ended up really liking it.

-Ratatouille(2007)

This one i had my doubts about, and ended up once again completely wrong. I loved most of the characters and the voices were fairly acceptable. I loved the human animation in this one, seeing as in most Pixar flicks it focuses on the animals, cars, toys, etc. Great addition and wish it could have gotten more viewers while in the box office.

-Wall-e(2008)

I fell in love with wall-e within the first thirty minutes. The visuals are exceptional. They can compete with those of finding nemo.A lovely story and maybe for an older crowd. Especially with the deeper meaning behind this flick. Loved every character.Though, my one bad thing is, i didn't like the real human acting. I would have preferred the computer animated person over bringing in an actor. Great Movie.

Readers Info.

Interested Readers of Reviews MUST READ!

Before you read any of my reviews understand what kind of reviewer i am....You see,Rogert Ebert(for example) is a plot man..I however am not....I merely judge by how entertained and sucked into the movie i am....I merely judge the illusion and and entertainment values.....i have always had the mindset that if you want a great plot, then pick up a book....movies are for entertainment of sight and sound, literature is for way more than that.

that is all.

The Love Guru-In Theaters Movie Review

The Love Guru

3 out of 5 stars.

I will start with the bad being the negative person i am....In the least words it was "Austin Powers 4-Indian." Almost 80 percent of the jokes were almost exactly like such ones in the AP series...What new jokes there were ,were hilarious. Mike myers was not surrounded by a great cast either, excluding the side comedians with small parts(examples:Daniel Tosh ,Jim Gaffigan, Stephen Colbert, and more.) Jessica alba remains to be the worst actress with the most roles of all time. She is absolutely horrible and at times she displays emotions that do not fit the scene, mood, or her character. Justin Timberlake also wasn't the best co-star for Mike. I don't know if it was the character he portrayed or his acting that made him completely and utterly funny-less.Despite the bad i find it was well done and recommend it....especially just to listen to indian- renditions of popular american songs.

OLD posts

These are poems are wrote AWHILE ago....i found them both pretty amusing,i hope you do as well.

Sonnet#1

if everything written were pieces of you
id love to read it to get close to the truth
and if you could see the way i am
maybe youd feel bad and understand

i could write about you for nineteen years
and still my point wouldnt reach your ears
i fear that day when you pack and move away
ill go nowhere but here to stay

theres not a letter i can write
nor a poem to recite
to make you love me in any way
so ill tell you now and get it out of the way

carpe diem,no day but to day, these are the thigns we must say
if cretins like us will love this way

Sonnet#2
Everything was warm
and now we are cold
we were young
now we are old

we spoke too much
now we are slient
we were gentle
now we are violent

we were smart
now we are dumb
we use to go
now we come

you take it slow and ill take it fast
let us hope this isnt the past

Neon Bible by Arcade Fire-New Album Review

Neon Bible
Arcade Fire
2008

The very first time i heard this band was when i stumbled upon their song"Neon Bible"(Album named after song.)I was pretty split with them, i enjoyed the sound but the image came across to me as hardcore emo. Which i necessarily don't hate, just isn't my type of music....I bought the album and I love it... Its a nice smooth album full of songs to sleep to, and songs to party to as well.....Great Lyrics,Sound,Vocals....Everything is great...The one band thing i have to say about this band is the lack of creativity, they look as if they slide in with every other emo genre band, but they play completly outside such genres and into indie and straight up rock....needless to say i like and recomend the album.

Fathers day smoshers day.....

Fathers day, is needless to say , not my favorite holiday.I'm not going to argue against it with the cliche commercial holiday bs. No, No,No...........Its the whole idea of the holiday..Lets give ONE day to our fathers to show them our gratitude....Which leaves outsiders of this tradition to believe we don't respect our fathers all the other 364 days of the year.Shouldn't we show our Dads love and thanks everyday?? They don't sacrifice for their children and wife one day of the year? And mothers don't worry all this goes for Mothers day too.
I'm just saying, we should act everyday as it is Mothers and Fathers day...

A Post To Myself....For Tommorow.

Many teachers assign the assignment of writing to the themselves in 5, 10, etc number of years... I am writing to myself to read tomorrow.I feel i am wiser in the night, and my nocturnal wisdom should be spread on a new day me.Here we go.

Dear JLHL,

your an idiot. You are not as smart as you think you are. You are not smarter than everyone you see. There is no need arguing sometimes, some people don't want to argue leaving your flawless and soon to be won argument useless. Don't hate. Do what mom tells you to, the first time. Those little things tend to help alot in the long run.Eat regular meals. Floss. Dance when no one is watching, sing when no one can hear...Sit down and draw a painting of something, not abstract. But try your best to duplicate the object onto paper....you'll be amazed at what you can do....write for at least thirty minutes. And lastly, get off the computer and go outside.
Sincerely Yours,
You
